Kids Tri FAQ's...
What should athletes bring?
Bike, helmet, towel and running shoes.
Does everyone begin at the same time?
No. Seniors begin first. Inter's and Juniors will swim at the same time at different ends of the pool. There are no wave assignments this year. Athletes will swim serpentine style. There will be many athletes in the pool at the same time. Less waiting! Seniors, Inter's and Juniors will be on the bike and run course at the same time.
Will there be lifeguards?
Yes! Lifeguards are on duty.
Is there a rain date?
No. We will go rain or shine. No refunds will be given for inclement weather.
How long does the race last?
We anticipate the average athlete will spend around 35 minutes on the course. The entire race itself will begin at 8 am and be complete by 9 am.
Is this race timed?
Unofficially! No chip timing this year, but it is in our future plans.
Can athletes wear a life jacket?
Yes. ANY athlete may use swim aides. We will have noodles available. If you would like to wear a life jacket you may bring one.
Can parents participate?
Parents of Juniors may run with their athlete on the bike and run segments of the course. Transition is closed to parents once the race begins.
Bike helmets. Really?
Yes, really. ALL athletes must wear a bike helmet. No exceptions.
